Final project thoughts

Week 1 - Principles and Practices - Final Project Thoughts

Neil said that fablab will become personal like personnal computer. Today we have 2 tons 100k$ labs, tomorrow we’ll have pocket labs. Those words lead me to imagine how we can reduce a fablab as a small foldable mobile kit.

First Final Project Proposal

First thing I tought is about FabLab “in a box” for humanitarian and development context that I saw in Santiago. Actualy I didn’t find I may consider contacting David Ott. But after som reading, this project is huge and wath I was thinking about is more like a kit that you can deploy to run a mini fablab.

Therefore I think tought about Bart Bakker with his FABSLADDA URBAN MAKERCART. I really like this project, but my opinion is that it represent a list of minimal equipment to run a mini fablab. And not a project I can make from scratch.

So let’s see if I do not have another project to propose.

Second Final Project Proposal

I wonder if someone has proposed a final project about Beer brewing, and after some research brewing seems to be much complicated, and probably out of context.

We are on Thirsday and I am still having trouble deciding what my final project will be.

Third Final Project Proposal

I did not find exactly what Neil said about bhutan during his presentation, but I remember the idea was about a government that is measuring satisfaction of people instead of money they have. I found this idea really interesting that we can drive decision depending on happiness of people. I already wondered how to use data to make people happier.

But how can we be happier if we don’t know how much happy we are? And how we could use data to empower citizen happiness ?

I thought about smart citizen device that allow to centralize and visualize data globally. So I image a personnal device that allow us to tell everyday how was your day.
