Hi, I'm a product designer with a masters in Sustainable Design. My projects are about social innovation and small scale manufacturing. In particular, exploring how digital technology tools could be used for DIY (Do It Yourself) clothes making. With members of my local makerspace, BuildBrighton, we made a 3D body scanner using Raspberry Pi cameras. The design is open source at www.instructables.com/id/3D-Body-Scanner-Using-Raspberry-Pi-Cameras/ and can be replicated for under £1000. It's a step towards having low-cost 3D scanners for designing clothes that fit perfectly.
