The PCB production process, characteristics and specifications.
This is all fairly well documented in the FabLab tutorial Production and programming

The process involves printing onto a copper covered plastic board, so that copper remnants remain in connectable fashion. Electronic components are then attached to this through soldering to anable various circuits to be developed.
Our milling machine was deemed too bulky by one of the academy students, so he modified it. See below.
