Invention. Intellectual Property. Income.

Concept.

The scope for this week is to discuss the way I intend to preserve my invention and intellectual rights.

This is important for couple of reasons. First, there is a lot of work that is involved in the process of Fab Academy work and having all the digital files and documentation published on the open web, once accessed makes any pocessor a direct owner. Knowing about this, it is critycal to be aware about rights as a creator one can have and even though there is still no 100% guarantee that the information and/or creation can be stolen(as an artist), I can still at least state my license.

License Choice.

My intention since the beginning of Fab Academy was to share my results with the open public, provide my discoveries and try to contribute to the community through my own learning process. My project is built on top of previous research and design processes some of which are mentioned in the Applications and Implications week. For these reasons I tend to stick to the Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, which allows anyone to copy and distribute the content as well adapt, remix or transform, however without commercial intentions.
