Week 19

Invention, Intellectual Property and Business Models

- Develop a plan for dissemination of your final project.
- Prepare drafts of your summary slide (presentation.png, 1920 x 1080) and video clip (presentation.mp4, 1080p HTML5, < ~minute, < ~10 MB) and put them in your root directory.

Learning outcomes:

Have you:

1. Choosing a license

For my final project I will choose an open source license that will give permission to everyone to use, modify and share my code. What I needed to decide is what conditions I want the license to have.

As I didn't know which ones existed I looked for the information on this website. There I could compare licenses with different restrictions.

Types of licenses:

MIT license

In my case I will choose the MIT license. In the next picture you can see a summary of the main aspects of this license: Picture obtained from: choosealicense.com

2. Draft of summary slide

I have started to do my final project's slide including the different skills that I have used to create my final project.

3. Draft of summary video

I will do the video using the iMovie program of my Macbook. I have been putting together the different pictures and videos that I have of my final project that I have been using on the weekly assignments.

This won't be the final video but the structure will be simillar. I will show the different things that my project integrates, the final result and, hopefully, a demo of it working!

4. Bussines plan

I have recently used a Bussines Model Canvas (BMC) and I thought that I could use this for defining my final project. "The Business Model Canvas (BMC) provides a simple, but comprehensive, format for mapping and refining key factors of a business". A canvas is oftenly used by entrepeneurs.

I downloaded this image and I worked over it writing down some of the ideas that I have.
