Week 20

Project Development

Learning outcomes:

Have you:

1. What is the deadline? How much time do I have left?

I will do the presentation of my final project the 20th of June so I have a bit more that one week to finish all the parts that I am missing for my final project.

2.What tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?

Two weeks ago, on Week 18 assignmentI was describing what I was missing that was to finish the thread board checking the connections and measuring with the t-shirt if it can accurately say if the person is in a bad posture.

I was also missing the design of the logo and I have done it, I'm not 100% convinced but I will stay with this one unless I suddenly have a better idea! I will use this logo in both the app and the vinyl for the t-shirt.

I was also missing the design of the App, and I have being working on that making the communication with the Bluetooth. This process is described on Week 14.

I also miss the design of the board boxes so I have being also working on that desining how they will be allowing the extraction of the battery to charge it.

3. How will I complete the remaining tasks in time?

For now the main thing that I need is to finish the mechanism of the accelerometer, sending that data to the App and 3D print the box where it will be stored.

Then I will do the same thing with the thread board placing them on the t-shirt and checking how does it all work together.

4. What has worked?

I have measured the conductive resistance when my model was straight and slumped and there was a difference. I have been programming the input accelerometer board and I am getting what I wanted, I now have to do it in the final board making the motor vibrate when being bad.

5. What hasn't?

The accelerometer of the final board was not working last day so I am going to check if when changing it from one board to the other the connections have been broken.

6. What questions still need to be resolved?

Although the conductive thread is measuring the differences in posture I need to check all in all that I am able to sense acurately the difference with the board, monitoring the hours the person is in a good posture or not.

7. What have you learned?

During these months I have learned many things. One of the most important things I have learned is to deal with the time, the deadlines and to organize myself to finish on time the different assignments. Moreover I have learn a lot of technologies that I was able to use during the development of my final project!
