About me

Mikko Toivonen

I am student at the Oulu University, I major in computer sciences, as I have been using computers pretty much all my life. I have been playing EVE online for last 7 years. Ever since the FabLab Oulu opened, I have been spending time there on regular basis. Once I got my hands on the Leapfrog 3d printer the lab has, I decided I needed to figure out how the 3D printers work. So I designed and built my own at the lab. Most of the things I will be doing for this course will be 3d printing related. As it will be the direction of skill I want to be going with in my life. You can reach me through email.

I like to refer to my different versions as N1 or N3 and so on, this is because back when I was designing my own 3D printer, I lost count of the different versions I was making of some parts and figures F* it, the next version is N+1 but the file save window didnt agree with the + in the filename so I shortened it to N1.

The logo I like to use in my work, it is from EVE online, the logo of the House Tash-Murkon. I have chosen it as identifier for my work, and since it is from a game it cannot be used in any commercially viable stuff.

All courses of action are risky, so prudence is not in avoiding danger (it's impossible), but calculating risk and acting decisively. Make mistakes of ambition and not mistakes of sloth. Develop the strength to do bold things, not the strength to suffer.
