Some consideration about PMC 121/30 DRY safety usage. Inside the Safety Datasheet we found some important info about the list of dangerous components and what to do in emergency cases. At Paragraph 3.1:
The following ingredients are hazardous according to Regulation 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard: 29 CFR 1910.1200:

  • Poly[oxy(methyl-1,2-ethanediyl)], α-hydro-Ω-hydroxy, polymer with 1,3 diisocyanatomethylbenzene
  • Toluene-2,4-diisocyanate
  • Toluene-2,6-diisocyanate

  • As we said, very useful is Paragraph 4.1: here we found the description of first aid measures, so we report here these important rules:
  • Inhalation: Remove source(s) of contamination and move victim to fresh air. If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration, then oxygen if needed. Contact physician immediately.
  • Eye Contact: Flush eyes with plenty of water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
  • Skin Contact: In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water.
  • Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting unless instructed by a physician. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

    Taken from manufacturer's website: "Mold Max™ 60 is a Shore 60A tin catalyzed silicone rubber formulated for applications requiring high heat resistance (up to 560°F/294°C). It features a low mixed viscosity and cured rubber exhibits very low linear shrinkage. Parts A & B are mixed 100A & 3B by weight. Pot life is 40 minutes and cure time is 24 hours. Applications include making foundry patterns, flat pattern reproductions and casting low-melt metal alloys such as tin and pewter."

    Some consideration about Mold Max 60 safety usage. Inside the Safety Datasheet we found that this material don't have any dangerous components for the environment.     This product poses little to none health risk according to its Safety Datasheet, and its components are not considered environmentally hazardous. However, since it hardens when in contact with water, ingesting it can cause intenstinal blockage and pouring in drains and sewer can result in serious pipe damages.
    According to the Paragraph 4 of the safety datasheets, these are the indications to follow of accidental use on people:

  • Inhalation: Dust irritates the respiratory system, and may cause coughing and difficulties in breathing. Move injured person into fresh air and keep person calm under observation. Get medical attention if symptoms persist.
  • Eye Contact: Dust in the eyes: Do not rub eyes. Flush thoroughly with water. If irritation occurs, get medical assistance.
  • Skin Contact: Contact with dust: Rinse area with plenty of water. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
  • Ingestion: Plaster of Paris hardens and if ingested may result in stomach and intestinal blockage. Drinking gelatin solutions or large volumes of water may delay setting.
