I took some time to choose this idea but finally, I decided to build the first module of my big future system. My project is packing moduel. The idea is to build and program a machine that you can put a workpiece and it can pack it for you in a carton box.
In these sketches above you can see the mechanism of how the packing module will work. I will go through them quickly. When I put a workpiece inside the box, the sensor in the base will indicate it (I didn't drown the base neither the sensor) then the start signal will delay 5s. After 5s servo 1,2 arm will close the sides then retract. Then servo one will close also retract. By this, you have a packing module and you the box is ready to be taken.
My big goal is to build a big MPS station(Modular Production System) which is a small factory used for learning purposes(example: Handling station) like the one that Festo produce. Since I trained for four months in these stations I get to know them well and since Festo is the big producer for it, all the station or the modules are very expensive. My goal is to build a system, so this project is the first module.
This module can make it on a bigger scale so we can use it in factories or in the stores to save time and money because the manager does not need to hire people for this job.
To build my project I will need to make two PCB one for the sensor and the other for the three servo motors.
I will Use 3D printer to print the arms of the servo motor and the cover of the servo also the cover of the sensor and the PCB. Maybe I will print the holder that will hold the sensors and the servos but I didn't decide yet. Also, I will use the Vinal cutter to make stickers for the project also the laser cutter to cut the boxes which I will put the workpiece inside. There is a fast design about the project I will adjust a lot latter but it explains the idea well.
