Task To Do:

  • Develop a plan for dissemination of your final project.
  • Prepare drafts of your summary slide and video clip and put them in your root directory.
  • Invention:

In general, invention is a new solution, which solves some problem or provides more advantage to an existing product, like increased performance, reduced cost, prolonged lifetime, simplified production, etc. Formally, new and non-obvious methods, devices, materials or novel use of the later three could be called an invention and might be protected under patent law.
Invention is about making new items, or finding new ways of making items.

    Intellectual Properties:

Intellectual property refers to creations of the mind: inventions; literary and artistic works; and symbols, names and images used in commerce.
    Different Intellectual Properties-
    1. Industrial Properties-
Includes patents for inventions, trademarks, industrial designs and geographical indications.
    2. Copyright-
Covers literary works (such as novels, poems and plays), films, music, artistic works (e.g., drawings, paintings, photographs and sculptures) and architectural design. Rights related to copyright include those of performing artists in their performances, producers of phonograms in their recordings, and broadcasters in their radio and television programs.

    Project Dissemination Plan:

I am going to make this project as an open source commercial project. Because this is the good way to share our ideas and knowledge.
In future I want make it better by improving the design and material.
If I want to make this project as a commercial product, Then I need a group to work on idea (especially designer to make this product attractive and user friendly) and also make it suitable to commercial product.
Right now, project is completed so I feel we can called as first prototype. We can used this for collect the data and analyze it.

    Open Source License-

Open source license is that allows the source code or design to be used, shared or modified under defined terms and conditions. Open-source licensed product is mostly free of cost.
The most common open source licenses available are MIT license, Apache license and GNU GPLv3 license.

  • MIT license:-
  • The MIT License is a permissive license that is short and to the point. Licensed works, modifications, and larger works may be distributed under different terms and without source code.

  • Apache license:-
  • A permissive license whose main conditions require preservation of copyright and license notices. Contributors provide an express grant of patent rights. Licensed works, modifications, and larger works may be distributed under different terms and without source code.

  • GNU GPLv3:-
  • Permissions of this strong copyleft license are conditioned on making available complete source code of licensed works and modifications, which include larger works using a licensed work, under the same license. Copyright and license notices must be preserved.

    My project License:-

I had choose GNU GPLv3 license for my project.
For the license, I referred this link

    Different licenses are explained here....

I read 2-3 license like MIT, etc.

And finally I choose GNU GPLv3 license.

I moved toward Gitlab for creating the license. Select the "Add license" option.

Then select the license which you want..

I selected the GNU general public license...

Here my project is under the GNU GPL license..

    Learning Outcomes-

In this week I studied about intellectual properties and license. I generate license for my project.
