Measure the analog levels and digital signals in an input device



Measure something: add a sensor to a microcontroller board that you have designed and read it

First this assignment I decided to use a ultrasonic sensor. An ultrasonic sensor is a device that can measure the distance to an object by using sound waves it.

I used Eagle (Easy Applicable Graphical Layout Edition) for creating the circuits boards. In Eagle, it´s still complicated for me to find the components in the libraries and make the connections.

Finally the board is finished guaranteeing the connections of the output ports of the microcontroller to the pins of the ultrasonic sensor

Then I mill the board in the roland machine. The problem that arose was that I did not consider the same resolution (dpi) and the outline of the card did not match. So it was necessary to correct and try again. Just before I started welding, I noticed that I was working with a preliminary version. The outline was not circular.

Then I used the Arduino 1.0 software. To program the microcontroller,I used one of the examples that come with the Arduino software.
