19.1. Main goal and future needs
19.2. Creative Commons (CC)
19.3. Project's slide and video

Individual Assignment:
- Develop a plan for dissemination of your final project.

- Prepare drafts of your summary slide (presentation.png, 1920x1080) and video clip (presentation.mp4, 1080p HTML5, < ~minute, < ~10 MB) and put them in your root directory.

19.1. Main goal and future needs

The basic phylosophy of the project itself fosters to have better things among more things. This means that the main goal of the project is to be tested, evaluated, developed, and adapted to any interested community.

From the beginning, I wanted to create a device that anyone could easily get from Open Source platforms such as Github or Instructables, and own it, change it and share it free.

Initially I regarded to rural communities in developing regions that did not have any easy access to produce or obtain any commercialized or expensive devices for measuring simple weather conditions. That is why the way to build the device can be done by either: following the steps I made (DIY) by 3D printing, laser cutting and milling all the components, as the electronics (with free access to all the original files I created); or getting directly the commercial electronic components (like e.g. Arduino) just to plug and play.

Moreover, as the concept of the device remained in setting up new modules and services, that could fulfill further needs. Therefore, the core of the project should be thought as a kit of elements that the user/s can select, and the device will work autonomously.

In terms of community making or data sharing, the project should be more developed so that the device could be connected wireless (Bluetooth, wifi, LoRa network, SMS, ...) to check the data and store it in an OpenSource database. Thanks to its modularity, any commercialized or autoproduced communication module can be attatched to the device as the core is ran by a Fabduino or Arduino. This would give the weather station a way more trascendent use.

19.2. Creative Commons (CC)

After diving through the wide world of patents and licenses, being coherent and strong on my feeling of protecting and sharing the concept and tools of the project, I found the wellknown Creative Commons the most appropriate license for it.

Among all the CC licenses, as I am accepting that people may change and adapt either its content as software, but I am restricting their sharings to be under the same terms as mines, and I still do not accept any commercial purposes; I chose Attribution-Noncommercial-ShareAlike licence.

Here there is the legal code for the license I chose.

19.3. Project's slide and video

The following slide shows the device's system diagram with the main components and the different fabrication processes related to the course I used along the project.

This short video shows the different processes and testings I worked on my project.
