Project Development

Aeroponic Module and Electronic Control System

3D Design and Print

Using Autodesk Fusion 360 I designed 4 components:

  • 1 trunk (the main piece),
  • 1 cupola (half sphere with joint on bottom),
  • 4 detachable lits
  • and 4 baskets (common small net basket) for hydro/aeroponic).
  • Electronics

These are all the components of the electronic device:

    FabKitDA 2.0

    Sensors

  • Photoresitor Mini Photocell SEN-09088
  • Humidity and temprature: DHT11
  • Ultrasonic Sensor
  • Water Pump

  • 1 Vacuum Pump: Motor Airpo D2028B 12VDC

  • 1 Mosfet-N

  • 2 Resistors 10k

  • 1 Flyback Diode: JEDEC SOD-123/Mini SMA (I didn't find one in the lab, so I used a LED red clear)
  • Wifi Module

  • NodeMCU DEVKIT 1.0
  • 1 case for PCB and Shield

  • I connected a Voltage Regulator (ZLDO 1733 - SOT223

    2 capcitors 10nF

    Fabduino Shield

For this final assignment I designed a Shield for my Fabduino PCB, that I produced in the assignment of week 10.

I draw the circuit diagram using the Eagle program with the same presets as in week 10 shown. I first had to make sure that the board and footprints of the Shield would fit precisely to the Fabduino PCB. So I made up the schematic of the Shield, and went on with the routing and positioning the trials and connectors for the sensors.
