13. Applications and implications¶

Propose a final project masterpiece that integrates the range of units covered,

  answering:

     What will it do?
     Who's done what beforehand?
     What will you design?
     What materials and components will be used?
     Where will come from?
     How much will they cost?
     What parts and systems will be made?
     What processes will be used?
     What questions need to be answered?
     How will it be evaluated?

  Your project should incorporate 2D and 3D design,
     additive and subtractive fabrication processes,
     electronics design and production,
     embedded microcontroller interfacing and programming,
     system integration and packaging

  Where possible, you should make rather than buy
     the parts of your project

  Projects can be separate or joint, but need to show individual
     mastery of the skills, and be independently operable assignment

What will it do?¶

My project consist of have a machine that can melt filament togheter

I don’t know if it will work but at least i tryed.

But i am pretty sure it will work

Who’s done what beforehand?¶

I have checked on the internet who’s done it before and here is the best result 3 way to do it

What will you design?¶

i have design my own block heater and my own board to heat my block and see the temperature wirh the lcd screen i also designed the packaging.

What materials and components will be used? and cost¶

all the electronics compenant come from RS

And the block of brass and ptfe come form block en stock

What processes will be used?¶

• milling machine
• pcb milling machine
• 3d printer

What questions need to be answered? and How will it be evaluated?¶

I don’t know if its possible to join 2 different materials

i will test it later ( see my video)

and for the evaluation is to print an object with the filament i joined togheter ( unfortunately not working)

What parts and systems will be made?¶

Hi have to do the heater it is made of 4 pieces of metal and ptfe

and my main board to be able to regulate the temp and see the temperature with a lcd screen

I think i will us GIT lab for distribute freely the first draft of my project

and everyone can contribute for future version and imrovement.
