COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN

This week assignment is about designing 2D and 3D parts and objects with computer software.
Options for selecting a software for the task is beyond limitless considering
the available time that can be invested into learning process.
Most of the programs have quite a steep learning curve.
This is why it is essential that one has a conceptual understanding of
the usage of these programs and also some knowledge of the terminology
(e.g. extrude, fillet, chamfer, taper etc.) does help to get started.
I have studied a limited selection of the introduced software and here is the
limited overview of my findings with some example images.

2D Design

Corel Draw

Coreldraw is vector based designing software which is used for creating logos,
flexes, brochures, invitation cards and any kind of vector designing based on the lining.
i desided to use the fab logo as my 2d paart of assignment

I imported the logo into my corel draw software

3D Design

AUtodesk 123D Design

For the 3D design assignment I decided to draw a nut because in my project I will need to print some hose connectors and it's a good idea to practice.
I decided to use 123D Autodesk design because I already have it installed in my computer and i have used it before
but as I have no experience, I looked for some help and I found a You Tube tutorial where I can practice and learn.
for this case i decided to design a nut and bolt

Snapping Time

Copy paste the remaining part (snaping)

i now started with the polygon(nut)

extruding the nut
