Computer-controlled machining

Assignment
make (design+mill+assemble) something big

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machining is a process used in the manufacturing sector that involves the use of computers to control machine tools. Some of the tools that can be controlled with CNC are lathes, mills, routers, and grinders.
This technique is typically used in industries that are involved in the manufacturing of metal and plastic parts. A CNC machine is used for producing complex shapes, especially 3-D shapes that require a high level of precision which cannot be achieved otherwise through manual machining.
Shop Bot Quick Start Guide

First we start off with design with the Fusion 360
Parameters set users exactly as expected parameters, From the Modify menu, select the parameter to change the option and set the following parameters
We can now use parameters for all features from now on.

From the Create command, click Create Sketch
I want to draw a floor table and want to assemble it without any nail or adhesive , First I draw a circle and then I put it, the dimension, from the users parameter, then I draw a rectangle along the circle and then I place it, the dimension, from the users parameter. Make interlocking rectangles to attach it to the other rectangle and to install the circle on it, like what is visible in the picture

After that, we end the sketch. From the Create command, click on extrude Size 18 millimeters

To install these objects, we have to define them. From the Assembly command, press on New component

Then from the Assemply> joint command, we group these elements

Then the final shape of the floor table is visible after assembling these parts together
I'll export the design to DXF. By clicking on skitch, right-clicking on it, and saving it in dxf format.

Using ShopBot, which is Vcarve, you can open your DXF file and specify how it is cut.
Using vcarve software, I will arrange the design, adjust the dimensions of the used wood board ,Wood Type is PlyWood, thickness wiche is 18mm, length wiche is 2440mm and width wiche is 1220mm according to the wood board used, as well as adjust the unit of measurement. As shown below in the picture.

Using the editing object I will make sure that the design is free from errors and excessive lines and delete them from the design because that poses a problem when starting to produce the design using the machine.

I set the spindle speed to 15,000 rpm. The end mill was 1/4.
I adjusted the joint cut so I chose the seven joints and also chose them to be cut completely.

CNC router generally has 5 kinds of cutting: male, female, center, cleaning, and drilling. Knowing about the category the pieces fall into is important as you will need to determine the type of pieces in the CAD program you are using. Each type of cutting has a specific purpose, and requires certain types of drill bits, and the machine operator must take into account certain cutting parameters to achieve the desired result.
Male cuts
The male cut is usually the outer cut of the piece, or the final cut into a piece to allow it to be removed from the material; Pieces around the body.
Female wounds
As one might imagine, female circumcision is the opposite of cutting a male. A female piece is cut inside the piece or pieces of material that must be removed from the piece; Pieces inside the body.
In the cutting center
The cut in the center occurs when the bit follows the center of the vector shape as drawn in a CAD program. Unlike a male and female cut, a central cut can follow a simple segment line rather than a polyline where the segment does not need to find the "sides" of the cut. A polyline is an object in AutoCAD that consists of one or more line segments (or brackets).
Cleanings
Cleanout is like a female cut, but instead of cutting the entire material, the cutter only cuts to a certain depth and then grinds a similar shape to unload a canoe. Cleaning processes are used to create grooves in the material or for 3D orientation. The 3D guiding is best with materials that will not bend during cutting.
drilling
The drill is again similar to the female cut in that the cut is within the piece. However, the aim of drilling is to only create holes and the hole created is exactly the same size bit used.

The image below shows the design in a three-dimensional form, as it shows the passage of the feather and where it will cut. We can determine if there are problems while cutting. Then we save the file in sbp format to start cutting using the Shop Bot.

After we have prepared the sbp file, we open it using the Shop Bot machine

Before cutting, we must first zero the x & y and this message will appear to make sure that it is zeroed.

And zeroing the z, then this message appears to make sure it is zeroed.

After you start cutting this message appears.

This red emergency button we press in case of any problem.

This is a wood fridge vacuum cleaner while cutting.

Tools that must be worn for public safety

We must also stay outside the line that turned the machine while it is working

These are tools for quilting and softening wood

After finishing the cutting and stimulating the wood, I set the table to look like this:
