Use the test equipment in your lab to observe the operation of a microcontroller circuit board :

 

- In order to measure operations of microcontroller, first we narrow down what are the operation which need to be measured.

 

- For this I have got very good spark fun tutorial (https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/how-to-use-an-oscilloscope)

- So, basically Oscilloscope can be used to measure Voltage characteristics and Time characteristics to analyze circuit board.

 

Oscilloscope

 

- Oscilloscope basically being used to troubleshoot micro-controller based circuit board.

- Oscilloscopes are used to check i/p and o/p characteristics for electronics signals.

- It can provide information such as frequency, noise, amplitude or parameters which varies with time we require oscilloscope.

Measuring voltage, current, and duty cycle of Atmega 328P -AU

 

- For this we have connected board to oscilloscope with voltage and ground pin of oscilloscope.

- Following parameters we have set before connecting board in o-scope.

 

So, basically it was giving this result for 328P based circuit board

Measuring Pulse width modulation and or input signal for servo motor

 

- Here we have uploaded program for PWM servo motor in 328P based board.

- In order to reflect PWM waves, we set o-scope in this para

- PWM waves can be seen on oscilloscope as per below vide.

- Where voltage is 5V
