Week - 11          Output Devices Devices

In this week’s group work we used Digital Storage Oscilloscope to learn the working of DC Motor. A digital storage oscilloscope (often abbreviated DSO) is an oscilloscope which stores and analyses the signal digitally rather than using analog techniques. It is now the most common type of oscilloscope in use because of the advanced trigger, storage, display and measurement features which it typically provides. For more information go to wiki.

The basic working of the DSO can be learned from here. We connected the motor with the power jack of the oscilloscope. The motor also works as a generator, this can be shown in the video

Notes:

The motor is joined to the power jack. Any side of the motor you take positive and negative, it works.

As you can see in the video, the fluctuation is on both sides, negative and positive both. This is because the motor also works as a generator.

The voltage at each points can be seen in the oscilloscope screen.
