14. Networking and Communications

This last week I spent some time trying to figure the workflow for making PCBs by using a laser printer and then etching, and that worked out fine. In the coming week, I’m planning to also optimize PCB production on our big CNC. I did some trials, and it seems it might work too. Finally, I haven’t had much of a chance to make PCBs on the vinyl cutter. So, will work on that too.

I do know the entire workflow of PCB production by milling/machining, just that our SRM20 is down at the moment, and so experimenting with other methods.

So, for this week, I listened to your lecture after class, and have understood what was presented, and for the assignment part, at the very least, I shall be designing and building boards (a bridge and two nodes), and connect those to create a wired network using the I2C synchronus serial bus. I might also do the same with the asynchronus serial bus for a comparison.
