What will it do?

For my final project I want to make a smart infinity mirror table for FAB Cafe which can be used in Hotels, Resturants, Offices CAFÉ. The idea was come from the fab lab 2018 student
sarah costan in which she made infinity mirror room Click. I also want to add some buttons on it for differnt purpose like (Order, Service Call, Coffe, Tea).
Apart from that I also want to design Mobile application in andorid studio for my final project that is connected to my table using wifi. When user or customer used that table He/She just press the button notification is recieved by admin or the manager of the hotel, resturant.

Who's done what beforehand?

The problem is not new but in pakistan it's new many multinational comapnies and hotels used multitouch interactive table. I found some inovative project of multitouch interactive table.

What will you design?

I planned to design Smart Infinity Mirror Table using skills which I learned while doing fablab Acadmey. While considering some project, my project working will be differnet from their work. I design table that is connected to Mobile App , a person only have to do is press a button that is placed on table. And notification is send to the owner of the table related to the service that user want from.

What materials and components will be used?
  • 8x4-ft 16mm MDF Board
  • WS2812B RGB Strip (120 RGB LEDs)
  • Male/Male Jumper Wire (150mm)
  • Female/Female Jumper Wire (150mm)
  • ESP-12E along with programmable circuitry
  • 328p along with circuitry
  • PLA for circuit 3D printed case and buttons
  • 5V 2Amp Adapter.

    most of the components and material are from FABLAB Khairpur, these are some components which I bought, the list is mentioned below:

  • What processes will be used?

    3D Designing using Solidworks to do all 3D Designing of final project includes Case for button circuit, press-fit Table Frame for led Strip.
    2D desiging all done using InkScape in which files for laser cutting.
    Circuit designing done in Eagle 7.5 in which ESP-12E board ,328p board and Circut Having Four Buttons designing involves.
    Electronics Production generated .rml files from Fabmodules, milling using SRM-20 and soldering components.
    Interface and Application development made using Andorid Studio, and ArduinoIDE
    NetworkingUsing ESP-12E wifi interfacing with Mobile Application and wired intercaing with 328p board

    What questions need to be answered?
  • How to make Mobile application more user friendly so they increase no.of Customer ?
  • How to add alarm system when someone press button and Owner Mobile can Alarm ?
  • How to easily implement it on whole FABLAB ?
  • How to market this product ?
  • How to make it more modular and feature rich ?
  • How will it be evaluated?

    upon successful completion of the project the Mobile application is used recieve message from the button that user press. I have placed four buttons (ORDER, TEA, COFFE, SERVICE CALL). When user press any button message recieved by owner according to the pressed button.
