4. Computer controlled cutting¶

I wanted to make something usefull for my office, that would be made using lasercut parts only (no furniture). I used 5mm plywood to make it.

onShape¶

I used onshape to draw a wood box.

I had to do multiple changes going back to the sketch to make it assemble properly.

Laser cutting¶

We are working on a Chinese Laser cutter uding a 100W laser CO2 tube. For 5mm cutting, i Used 20mm/s with 35% power and and an offset of 0.05.

The result¶

Assembly fits but still a little lazy. 0.1 may have been stronger fitting.
