Assignment:
Design and produce something with a digital fabrication process (incorporating computer-aided design and manufacturing) not covered in another assignment.

Steps:

A- Creating a design
1. 1- Open Digitizer V5 Embroidery Software
2. 2- Change type of hoop from the top bar



3. 3- Select manage designs and choose any ready design. Then, add text to it from lettering.





4. 4- Select save designs as from toolboxes.
5. 5- Export design from toolboxes and save it on USB. The design will be saved in DST format.


B- Setting up the machine
*Phase 1
6. 1- Select an embroidery hoop (Embroidery hoop FA10) & fabric.


There are 5 different types of hoop (Embroidery hoop SQ14, Embroidery hoop SQ23, Embroidery hoop GR, Embroidery hoop ASQ22 & Embroidery hoop FA10 )
7. 2- Set the fine fabric in an embroidery hoop. Add a paper below the fabric to ensure having a clean finishing.
8. 3- Tight center of fabric through stretching the sides.



9. 4- Attach the embroidery hoop to the machine

Follow the below steps. It was taken from machine's manual.


A- Inserting the bobbin





B- Threading the machine





C- Needle threader



*Phase 2
10. 1- Connect USB to the machine
11. 2- Click on folder icon. An Embf file will be shown on the window.
12. 3- Select your Embf design and press ok.






Challenges:
The thread keeps trimming when it’s jumping from one area to another.
