BIO

My name is Jedd Winterburn, I am 25 and live in the beautifully bazar city of Brighton, Uk. Currently I am studying ‘How To Make Almost Anything’ under the FabAcademy, alongside a degree in ‘Digital Music and Sound Art’ BA(Hons) at Brighton University. My work in sound is my passion and predominantly formed in the creative application of audio and combining it into mixed mediums following a more abstract philosophy of music, whilst pushing my productions into the realm of installation and immersive experience. My more practical work involves the founding of an event label working in live sound, electronic music performance and event management, which has been operating from 2010 up to the present under the name JENGASOUND, the core of brand resides in a custom-built PA which is toured.

By day I maintained a career in Carpentry and Joinery, working for myself and managing the workshop of a highly revered bespoke furniture company. However, when I enrolled on my degree I condensed this work down into a small entrepreneurial venture producing bits of furniture to sell on eBay in my abundantly lacking spare time. Other practises worth mention are; a small beer brewing project subtly warming up on the back burner, a longstanding investment into visual arts and myself slowly becoming renowned as Jack of all trades. My past experience and future ambitions closely align with the criteria of the course I study with the Fab Academy and the morals and ethics the institute conducts itself with, whilst each splinter of study sparks my enthusiasm and drive, my ultimate goal is to combine manufacturing with my passion for experimental music, creative audio-visuals and sound art, to create dynamic tools to arm an under sung industry.
