About me

Hi! I am Daniel Smithwick.

I serve as Master Fabricator for the Fab Foundation SCOPES-DF project, in which I collaborate with STEM experts to build foundational and scalable digital fabrication knowledge for K-12 educators.

I studied architecture at the University of Minnesota and was awarded a PhD from MIT in 2016 for my work on Physical Design Cognition.

I currently live in Somerville, Massachusetts and for fun play drums in the 80’s cover band, HausKat.
